Wonderfully Made
Long ago, the world did not have any shape.
It was just a dark mass in space.
Think
of what it must have been like:
There was no light at all. No grass and no flowers.
Not even any dirt. No animals. Not even a tiny little insect! And no
air to breathe. We wouldn’t last very long in a place like that,
would we?
But someone came to our world when it was like that. Someone who is
so strong that He can go anywhere and not die. Someone who is so
powerful that He can make a lovely, bright place out of nothing. The
Bible says, “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.”
(Genesis 1:1.)
When our world was just a dark, empty space, God the Father and His
Son, Jesus,
decided to make it into something very special. They talked about
what it would look like, and what kinds of plants and animals would
live on it.
They
also talked about the people who would live there.
Then Jesus began His work of Creation. It did
not take Him very long. The Bible says, “In six days, the LORD made
heaven and earth.” (Exodus 20:11.)
How did God create everything?
What’s one thing you can create with your mouth? Can you make
bubbles with your bubble gum?
Well, there are many things that we see around us and in the sky
above that came from the mouth of God “By the word of the LORD were
the heavens made, their starry host by the breath of his mouth.”
(Psalm 33:6)
And that includes all the animals _ like your kitty cat, puppies,
and gold fish etc…Wow!
What about people? How did God create you?
Well, the Bible answers that too. “Then God said, "Let us make man
in our image, in our likeness”…. the LORD God formed the man from
the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of
life, and the man became a living being. (Genesis 1:26; 2:7).
It is like using playdough to make people, but God formed man from
the dirt of the ground
and gives him life.
Until next time, remember out of all the things that Jesus had
created, He created you and more special than anything else.
